Glenorchy - Selvedge Denim Jeans
Limited numbers, in stock now.
The Glenorchy Selvedge jeans use our exclusive, high rise, loose tapered cut - not too skinny, not too baggy but wiith more room than the Kilbirnie jeans. Since they are selvedge, we recommend you wear them with a turn-up at the bottom, and so we have included extra length in the leg.
We cycle a lot and wanted a pair of jeans that can deal with the additional wear and tear of time in the saddle. For that reason, we have reinforced the groin with an extra layer of denim.
The denim is made by Candiani, the "Green-est textile company in the blue world".
All of the rivets and buttons have been custom made for us in Italy.
For the pocket material, we have hand-selected printed cotton fabrics to add a splash of hidden colour. These fabrics are taken from short lengths of deadstock so the patterns will vary across the batch. This adds to the character and sustainability of each pair.
The rear labels are made for us in Tāmaki Makaurau from genuine leather.
Aotearoa made, and always will be.
Glenorchy is a town in Central Otago. Before the arrival of Europeans, this area was known as Tāhuna. Glenorchy takes its name from Glen Orchy, a valley in Argyll and Bute, Scotland.
